We are honored to be joined by Consul General Helena Nolan on Thursday, December 2, 2021, at the Bank of Ireland Innovation Lab. Helena will speak on the importance of women being visible in their workplaces/fields and tell us about her award-nominated #VisibleWomen campaign. Created to celebrate the role and achievements of women across a whole range of activities, #VisibleWomen highlights women from the arts and culture to entrepreneurship and design, to diplomacy, peace and security.

And in a very related segue, Helena will also introduce us to a few of the Irish female authors featured in LOOK! IT’S A WOMAN WRITER! The anthology of essays by 21 writers, poets, and playwrights from the North and South of Ireland who tell their own stories shares the vivid personal accounts of their experiences as women writing during a pivotal period in the history of Ireland.

This quarterly initiative provides additional networking events and opportunities for professional women and is part of IBO programming designed to connect with professionals from different parts of the Irish and Irish-American community and to learn about some of the great work being done across a variety of sectors. Inspiring female thought leaders and speakers are selected by the IBO and invited to educate, inspire, and motivate attendees. Participants will have the opportunity to listen to dynamic speakers, network and engage with attendees during these lunch meetings.
