Join Sean Granahan, Esq., on a tour through The Floating Hospital’s history, from its roots treating Irish immigrants in the 19th century to the challenges of treating today's hidden poor — homeless mothers and children.
About Sean Granahan
A regulatory attorney by trade, Sean Granahan has an employment law background from the years he worked at an award-winning global law firm specializing in serving the health care, financial, retail and hospitality industries. There, he nurtured a passionate interest and expertise in the health care world. Introduced to The Floating Hospital as a client, Sean became captivated by its work and mission and decided to help guide the organization as General Counsel, and then, lead the charge as President. Under his leadership, The Floating Hospital’s impact has grown and is now New York City’s largest provider of healthcare to families living in domestic violence safe houses and homeless family shelters. It’s also the sole provider of healthcare to the city’s Department of Juvenile Justice, as well as a provider of comprehensive primary healthcare through community health center clinics in Long Island City, Queens.
Sean cites his greatest accomplishment as his staff, stating that The Floating Hospital has brought together a team of the finest individuals that he has run across in his professional career, all dedicated to helping others.
