     IBO-NY’s Dolores Walsh and Tami Ellen McLaughlin attended the October 2021 First Friday at the Consulate and were welcomed by Helena Nolan, US Consul General in New York. Consul General Nolan took up assignment in September 2021 and is one of 13 female senior management head of mission appointments. Learn more about her #VisibleWomen initiative here: www.dfa.ie/irish-embassy/belgium/news-and-events/visiblewomen2020/

    NEW YORKER FESTIVAL:   SOME VERY FUNNY LADIES Sunday, October 9, 2021, 4-5 P.M. E.T. 

    This event is virtual only.

    The 22nd annual edition of the New Yorker Festival will take place October 4 to 10, and will be a largely virtual affair this year. 

    IBO member Liza Donnelly, the author of “Very Funny Ladies,” joins Roz Chast, Liana Finck, and Amy Hwang to celebrate the history of women cartoonists at The New Yorker. Moderated by Emma Allen. This is a free community event.

    In celebration of its 25th anniversary, Aisling Irish Community Center in Yonkers will be running a 6 Week to 6K Walk/Run Challenge in partnership with Clann Health!

    Starting on Monday, September 13, you are invited to log on and join from anywhere in the world for this fun and exciting health challenge. Once registered, you will be given expert training, guidance, and support to help you reach Week 6 successfully!
